Theory Tuition

Many young players are apprehensive when the time comes to take the ABRSM Grade 5 Theory exam (necessary to progress beyond ABRSM Grade 5 Practical examinations). Unfortunately, many teachers are unable to include adequate tuition towards this exam during weekly  instrument lessons. The intensive theory programmes are designed to be fun, enjoyable, and give a firm grounding in this essential area. The fee covers up to 2 hours one-to-one tuition per week, plus past papers, and the examination entry fee.

GCSE/A-Levels, Diplomas, Music College/University Auditions

Jessica has extensive experience of helping students to prepare for important performances, such as GCSE/A-level performance assessments, and music college/university auditions. An experienced CRB checked pianist is available for these sessions, and if necessary, recordings can be arranged. Please check availability of recording facilities at time of booking. All wind instrumentalists welcome.

Grade 5 Theory (12 week programme):

£ 75.00 per pupil

(without pianist):  £ 30 ph

GCSE/A-level Assessment Preparation

(with pianist):  £ 39 ph

College/University audition preparation

(with pianist): £ 45 ph
